FRACTURE HEALING.

There is a misconception that fractures are surgically operated on for quicker healing. Actually modern methods of fracture fixation delays healing. Then why operate? It is to get the bones set accurately and fix them in such a way that rehabilitation can be started early. It avoid prolonged stay in a plaster and prevents what is known as fracture disease.
